First Baseball Game

We went to see the Jacksonville Suns play baseball on Friday. Alexander LOVED it. He got to have some Strawberry icee to cool him off. Of course he enjoyed Grandma sharing with him. He got to meet Southpaw the mascot for the Suns. Alexander just stared at him. We got him a foam paw, I think it was his favorite thing at the game! What a fun time we had!

Any day now...

I just know I am going to walk in to Alexander standing up any day now. He is soooooo close. He will not sit still! He knows that when he see something he can grab it, so he goes for it. When I set him on the floor he will fall and roll. He has not quite got the crawling thing, yet. But he will push up on him arms and sometimes he will get on his knees. I know he loves his new found liberty!

6 Months

6 month check up

Alexander had his 6 month check up and shots on the 9th of July. He was 19 pounds 14 oz and 28 1/2 inches long. He is growing so fast. The doctor said he is doing great and that developmental he is ahead of the curve. She could not believe how well he was sitting up and that he showed stranger anxiety when she walked in the room.

Since his appointment he has started to reach for things to pull up on. He has not pulled up yet, but there is no doubt he is looking to soon. Just today I put him in his crib for some play time and when I walked by he was laying on his belly with both hands holding on to the bars. What am I going to do?

Alexander's first vacation.

We went to Panama City Beach and stayed in Mia and Papi's beach house. We had so much fun relaxing and enjoying the salty air. We kept Alexander LOADED down with sunscreen, and he did not get burned. I am so glad, we spent so much time in the sun.

Mia and Papi got Alexander a spring pool, so we set it up on the deck. As you can see they enjoyed playing in it. Evie figured out how to push down on the side and let the water out, how smart!

Alexander's first trip on the boat. He was sooooo good. I thought he would HATE having to wear a life vest but he was really good in. In fact we had only been on the boat 5 mins when he fell asleep. We were out all day, and he took 2 naps on the boat. The rest of the time he enjoyed the wind in his face. We stopped by Shell Island for a swim. He love the ocean, his favorite things were to slash in the water and to suck the it out of his hat, YUCK!

How cute is that swim suit, it is from his Aunt Missy!

Lunch at Bayou Joe's. It is this little dock you just pull your boat up to and eat. It is great! Mia and Papi got Alexander a shirt from there. It is a little big right now, but next year it will fit perfect.

Alexander's first fourth of July! He had so many outfits to wear. His Grandma got him a "Lil firecracker" shirt, Mia got him a "Babies 1st 4th" shirt and some flag Pj's. I got him, me and Jeremy matching old navy flag t-shirts and him and Evie matching firework sleepers. I had to change him every 3 hours.

We enjoyed the beach for the morning and then grandma and grandpa arrived. Then we grilled out hamburger and hot dogs. Then to the beach for fireworks. Alexander loved the fountain, fireworks. I thought they would scare him, but he just stared at them. Towards the end of the fireworks he got sleepy, it was almost 10pm. So he went to bed before they were over. It was a very exciting first, fourth of July for the little man.

Alexander's shirt says it all, "Caution will eat sand". The first thing Alexander did when we set him in the sand is put it in his mouth. I do not think he liked the taste of it.

He is playing with all of his new sand toys from his Mia. His favorite was his yellow and orange shovel!
