Pre Party for Alexander

We had a small party for Alexander with Mia and Papi at our house. He tore through his presents like a pro, throwinf each item from the gift bag to the floor.

Mia and Papi got him a 4 wheeler, his face should show how much he loves it! He looks like such a big boy on it.

We go him a Thomas cake, all he wanted was the Choo Choo off the top.
Lately Alexander had taken to screaming. It is this blood curdling scream, he does it pretty much at random. I think he is doing it for attention and we he does not get his way.
Well he did it the WHOLE time we san Happy Birthday to him. It was a little funny!

Today for lunch we went to Chuck E Cheese before we took Mia and Papi to the airport. He loves it there, after all it's were a kid can be a kid.

Christmas Day

Our Beautiful Feast

Mia and I made some very Yummy dinner. We made Cornish Hens, dressing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy! It was wonderful!

Opening presents was so much fun this year. Alexander was so into it. Every gift was just the best!

We took Alexander to Union Station to watch the trains. One came through right as we were leaving. We went to the over pass and watched it go under us, it was great.

I love this picture! I am so blessed to have these two men in my life! I am so proud of Jeremy for all the hard work he is doing to become an Air Traffic Controller. What an amazing memory he has!

Christmas Eve ~ Christmas Morning

On Christmas Eve we normally go to my grandmother's house. We let Alexander open his tractor. He even helped put it together, the whole time he was helping he kept saying "wheel, wheel, wheel". I love the way he says it, it is with the most southern accent.

Then we went to the Christmas Eve service at our friend's church. It was wonderful! Alexander sat with us the whole time and was perfect! He even took communion with us.

Santa brought Alexander the whole Geo Tracks set Christmas Morning. He loved it He played and played with it!

Then we went to the airport to pick up Mia and Papi.

First Hair Cut

We took Alexander today to get his first hair cut. In humid Florida he had beautiful ringlets, but in dry, cold Kansas that is not the case. His hair is frizzy and all a mess. This is the before!

The first cut.

All done!

He was a trooper, the only time he got a little upset was when they put his cape on. But one of the girls brought him over a sucker and after that he was a dream. The girls keep saying he is so good. He look like a little boy, doesn't he?

Seeing Santa again...there was a Choo choo on the other side of Santa.

Sledding in the back yard

Grandma got Alexander a sled for Christmas and we tried it out yesterday in all the snow we got. Alexander loved being pulled around in it. We are not really comfortable driving on the snow yet and our roads had not been plowed so we did not drive out to go down a hill....maybe another snow.

Dixie and Libby went out with us to enjoy some snow fun!

We came in to some yummy hot chocolate.

The Upstairs: Master Bedroom and Alexander's room

Here is the master....it still needs work. I have not got any picture up in here yet. It has 3 closets and we need them as they are small! The bathroom is between Alexander's room and ours. It has a hall entrance and a entrance from our bedroom.

Here is Alexander's room, it was the 1st room I completed. It is also the room I rearranged the most.

Look at all those toys! His Christmas tree has Disney Cars on it. He picked them out.

This is Jeremy's coffee from yesterday morning. He left it in his car to go into work and when he came out at 3pm it was frozen solid!

Living room and Kitchen

Due to some harassing comments on Facebook and phone calls I am posting some pictures of the inside of our house. Just kidding Kristy, I will take pictures of the rest of the house as the week goes along! I wish you could have come up with me and seen it for yourself!

Here is the kitchen, it is on the mid-level along with the front door and loving room. Our town home has 4 levels if you include the basement. The garage is on the bottom and you enter there to a bathroom and bedroom. You come up a couple of stairs to the living room then up a couple more steps to 2 more bedrooms and a bath. Alexander and Jeremy and I are all up stair and the down stairs is a guest bedroom.....so we better get some guests! The bakers rack was a great deal I found on Craig's List! Oh and the door you see in the Kitchen leads to a deck to the fenced back yard.

The rest of the kitchen.

The living room.

I am still working on a solution for Alexander's toys!

More pictures to come!

ALL of the Burgess' are in Kansas now!

My mom flew into Kansas City last night with Alexander. She said he did really good on the plan, he even slept for an hour. He was VERY happy to see me and Jeremy. He would hug me then want to go and hug Jeremy, he kept going back and forth.
When we got to the house there was still snow on the ground from when it snowed on Tuesday. Alexander LOVED it. It thought it was the funniest thing. He would walk all through and make it crunch.

Yes I hit him with the snow ball and he thought it was so funny!

When we finally got him to come inside I took him upstairs to his room to see ALL the toys he had not seen in 6 months. He had a cow he pulled everything out and played. I had completely set up his room so he was very excited to see all of his stuff.

We ventured back out in the snow this morning since most if it will be melted by tomorrow.

He does not really like to wear a hat or gloves but he will have to get used to it.
