What an amazing ~~little~~ BIG 5 year old I have! He brings joy and laughter to my heart daily. He is so talkative and full of energy. We call him a Mexican jumping bean because he is always bouncing.

After a 5 year check up at the doctor, Alexander is 55.6 lb and 49 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 97th percentile...crazy!

He is in love with playing his kinnect, jumping on his new trampoline (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa and Mia and Papi), playing angry birds, and building legos. He is so competive, he has a hard time losing but Jeremy does not always let him win while playing the kinnect.

He is so smart counting to 100, adding, subtracting, spelling and reading on his leappad.

FOOTBALL, football and more football, he loves to watch football. He knows so many of the teams and players it amazes me.

I am so happy God blessed me with this miracle!

Last year Santa sent a special Elf to our house, we named him Edwork. He flies to the north pole every night to tell santa how Alexander has been. When he would come back in the morning he would do silly things around the house.

Happy New Year!

I am so excited for what 2012 holds for my family. 2011 has held some wonderful times for me. New friends, new adventures and amazing experiences. We started out the year finding out Alexander was going to be a big brother but the baby was in my tube and had to be surgically removed.

Jeremy and I celebrated 8 wonderful years, how blessed I am to have him as my team mate for just over 11 years. We had a beautiful summer filled with family, beaches and alexander learning to swimming. Turned 31 (ouch), spent some time in Jacksonville catching up with old friends.

Alexander moved to up to his pre kindergarten class, learning all kinds of different things! He was an angry bird for Halloween and loved trick or treating! What a fun year it has been for him!

Again in November we found out that Alexander was going to be a big brother but it ended in miscarriage. We had a wonderful thanksgiving with family and this Christmas was the best yet.

I am looking forward to the growth that 2012 will bring and the new adventures with a 5 year old and an amazing husband of almost 9 years.

I realize it has been a while since i have posted and I have much to update you one. i have tried to blog a couple of times but was having trouble with it.

This is Alexander before going back for to remove his adenoids.

Here he is practicing putting me and Jeremy to sleep....this was a fun game and we played it for a while.

This was right after surgery. He was such a trooper, he woke a little grumpy but got better fast!

We got home and he was READY to eat!

He recovered very fast and was back to school in just a couple of days.

Opelika had it fall festival on Tuesday so we got to bring out the angry bird. It was crazy! People were pointing and saying how awesome his costume was, made me pround to have made it.

Aubie came to visit us at school a couple of weeks ago. It was raining so we had to do the pep rally inside. Aubie gave Alexander a head rub down.

We met up with Mia, Evie and Beckett in Montgomery Zoo.

As many of you know Alexander has suffered with sinus infections for the last 2 years. He has had one every other month or so...when Alexander was 3 we did allergy testing to find that he was allergic to mold, grass, dust and other seasonal things. We had hoped moving to Alabama would make it all better (it did for my asthma) but in the last year he has been on antibiotics over 6 times. We visited the ENT back in April and he felt to best option was to remove his adenoids. He said we would wait for one more infection then we should go ahead and do it.....me being so much smarter thought we would not do it on the first one, not the second but the third. It was a dozy too lasting over 30 day.

We went back to the ENT and have scheduled the removal of his adenoids on Oct 14. We are praying that this helps to take care of his sinus problems. Please keep us in your prayer we attempted to explain some of it to Alexander tonight and he was not a happy camper. Praying for peace and a fast recovery!

Alexander is playing soccer this year for the first time. He LOVES it more than I could have ever thought. And actually he is pretty good. He has had 3 game he has score at each of them and scored 5 at one game. Amazing!!

Over the 31 years of my life I have been to Disney MANY times. Far too many to count! I have been to most of the resturants at all of the parks, been to special event from the candle light processional to the food and wine festival. But this was the first time I have ever got to eat at the crystal palace.

Pooh and Friends dinned with us there. The food was amazing and the resturant was beautiful!

I am still surprised at how much Alexander loves the characters.

Every Labor day weekend we go to St Pete for the Causey Family reunion. This year we were able to take the week off before and spend time at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

While visiting we made it to Epcot.

We Road the test track, Alexander did really good on the ride except I forgot that a Semi truck runs into you....he was not happy about that part.

We also went over to Hollywood studios to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride. Alexander also went on Soarin' for the first time....so much fun!!

This is a special picture to me. When we lived in Jacksonville we were members of the zoo and went VERY often. While going I started having my picture taken with Alexander in the same spot. We went for a visit last weekend and I had to have our picture taken there again. Amazing the changes my little man has made in almost 5 years!

I cannot believe the summer school year is almost over where has the month of July gone?!!?? Alexander has one more week in his K 3/4 class then he will move up to K4plus class, this is his last year before kindergarten. He is so smart constantly adding and subtracting, math seems to be one of his favorite things now. He is completely obsessed with the weather, then again so is his dad so that may be where that comes from. He loves all things outer space.

He is wearing a 13.5 shoe and size 6 boys clothes, he loves to eat! He can eat a WHOLE frozen pizza on his own! Right now his favorite foods are grilled cheese, cheese toast, apple sause, pizza, and ice cream sandwiches!

The other day he was adding in the car and I said "Wow, Alexander you are so smart" he piped in and said " You mean I am a genius" REALLY!!?? I love all the time I get to spend with him he is so fun and funny!

He is doing swim lesson this week and next week, he has been doing so well. He is doing a free style stroke with his head under water! So proud!!

The Birthday month has been in full swing! I had a wonder party over the 4th of July weekend at Mia and Papi's house....Yummy cupcakes!

I was a very luck 31 year old getting to have my mom and dad here to celebrate with me. They took me to the Irish Bread Pub, yum one of my favorite places in town!

Then I got to have a night out with my sweet heart...he took me to a restaurant we had not been to before...it was amazing. We finished our evening at books a million...yep we are old!

One Sunday before my birthday one of my close friends son was turning 2. I got a honorable mention on his cake....how sweet is this! It was a pool party! I think I look good in icing!

On father's day we got to meet Mia and Papi in Montgomery for lunch and dessert.

Since it has been SO hot we have been to a couple of water slide birthday parties. Alexander loved going down the slide over and over again!!

For carnival week at school we had a train come...it was so much fun!

It is so hard for me to believe that summer is over in a month, we have done so much already! We have been going to my good friends pool every week and this last week Alexander starting swimming on his own. He was so excited!!

Everyday Alexander keeps us laughing about something! He can quote commercals like crazy! He favorite is fruitie pebbles right now...he is always saying "Rocks Your Whole Mouth".

Summer may be a couple of days away but it sure feels like it is has been here for a while!

We have been having some wonderful swim days lately. Alexander has water day every friday at school. One of the fridays we got a HUGE water slide....it was so much fun.

My good friend Jenny lives at a place with a pool and we have been making a few trips out there a week. Alexander is such a fish he cannot wait to go and does not want to leave.....well really neither do I.

The slide is his favorite thing to do he will go down it 50 times in a visit!

We took our annual beach trip early this year, instead of going for the 4th of July we went last week leading up to memorial day. It proved to be the best choice, the weather was cooler and the crowds were smaller!

Fun times in the Burgess home this last weekend. Alexander came home with the stomach big on Friday and so lovingly gave it to me on Sunday night. Can we just say I am SO ready for the beach. With all this bad stuff I cannot help but be so thankful for all that we have been given. God has really blessed us lately with extra hours and extra drill days for Jeremy. Alexander has been doing so much better at school. After my surgery and the loss of the baby Alexander went through some really bad days. I cannot hardly think that all of that could have happened to our family and it not affect Alexander. Things do seem to be getting back to normal with him, using manners and we are working on attitude. What a sweet little boy he is becoming.

I am happy for things becoming normal! Easter and the up coming beach trip have been a little hard for me. Both of them I had planned on doing this year pregnant, I had even bought a few special things to wear. I have to believe that God has a great plan for our life moving forward. Yesterday Alexander said "Mommy, do you remember the baby that was in your tummy?" I said "yes" He said "That baby is in Heaven and God is going to put a new baby in your tummy" This all came out of the blue, why it still amazes me how God speaks to us but amazing!

Easter Sunday

Look what the Easter Bunny brought!

All Alexander asked the Easter Bunny for was a Nerf long strick CS-6. He has sounded like Ralphie from a "Christmas Story" and his red rider bb gun. That is the face of a little boy that got just what he wanted! The gun is taller that he is, but he LOVES it!

Making Resurrection Rolls, Alexander really enjoyed doing this, this year. He actually got it! He told his children's church leader all about how Jesus is the marshmallow and now the roll is empty because Jesus is alive.

Easter Fun

We were so blessed to get to have Mia and Papi at our house for Easter this year. It has been so wonderful living closer to them.

Our school does Travels around the world as a yearly event. Each class room picks a different country and makes their room look like that country. We choose Japan and this is what we did.

and Grandma come visit.

They came in on Thursday and are here through tomorrow. We have had a wonderful time having them here....even though it did include a not so fun drive through hail. We were able to hit some yard sales, the mall, the Easter bunny and even see a movie. Fun weekend.....sad to see it end.

I must say this is not my favorite picture but I wanted to show you what my eye looked like when I woke up Sunday morning. On Saturday I went to an urgent care Doctor that thought it was a bacterial infection and gave me a scrip for antibotics, he also told me if it got any worse that I needed to go to the ER.

So this is what I looked like when I woke up the next morning, it was twice as bad as when I went into urgent care. So we drove back from Birmingham to the ER and that Doctor saw me for about 5 mins to tell me it was Allergies. To go home and take Benedryl.....REALLY!

The ER doctor did refer me to an ENT. I went to the ENT Monday morning and he gave to 2 different types of antibotics saying that if I was any worse he would admit me to the hospital. He also said if I got any worse he wanted me to come back in.

I had a check up today with him, he said I looked much better today, he was very happy with the way the antibotic was working.

I also so my OBGYN today for my post op appt, he also said I looked great. He released me to resume normal activity.

After this really rough 5 weeks starting with Alexander getting strep and ending with me with an unknown bacterial eye infection I believe we are done. It is time for health and healing in the Burgess home. We are praying for a time of rest and restoration for our family.

papi's birthday and more

On Thursday we met Mia and Papi to celebrate Papi's birthday and for Alexander to spend a few days with them. You can see on the paper Alexander wrote papi...so sweet.

Alexander helped papi blow out his candles.....funny thing is they had to re-light them because as soon as they set it down Alexander blew them out.

With Alexander at Mia and Papi's, Jeremy and I went to Birmingham to celebrate our Anniversary. We had a great weekend relaxing....we did have to cut it short because my eye started swelling and was swollen almost shut by the time I got up on Sunday morning. We drove back from to Auburn to go to the ER....Today after seeing 3 different doctors and getting 3 different meds we are pretty sure it is a bacterial infection.

Spring fun

Finally some spring weather to enjoy. We went to the Loin's club pancake breakfast then to Garden in the Park. Alexander got his face painted...BATMAN!! He was the hit everywhere we went after this.

The garden party was great it had bounce houses, crafts, snow cones, boiled peanuts and of course the park. It was a fun family day. After we went to the children's consignment sale, not too may goodies but nabbed some transformers PJ's. I had a so so week last week back at work. I did not make it in on Monday or Thursday. I am feeling alot more like myself this week, thank God. Jer and I have a great weekend planned next weekend for our anniversary.......since we spent it in the hospital. We are going to Birmingham. So excited for some relaxing.

Visit from Family

During this last week we had a few visitors. Mia, Grandma, Uncle John and Aunt Sarah came up. It was nice to have them here. Mia when back home on Wednesday and grandma left on Friday after taking me for some much needed pampering.

John and Sarah left this morning. This is us at dinner last night at the Irish Pub...Yummy!

It was nice to have family in the house to take our mind off of all that is going on. But now that it is quite again the reality is starting to set in. Back to normal life tomorrow I am not sure I am ready but I guess it will help to get back. Today has been a little hard, it is real now that the excitement of a new baby is not in our home anymore. I just have to believe that God has a greater plan for our family right now. I am still recovering, I not in near as much pain as I was. Please continue to pray for our family as we continue to life back to normal.

As I am sure most of you heard the wonderful news that Alexander was going to be a big brother (and he will be one day). I was due October 29 I had gone in and had blood work and confirmation done. We could not believe this, if you know our history with Alexander we tried for a LONG time tired different types of meds. We finally found the one that work and now have the most amazing 4 year old ever.

This time...No Meds Required! However last Monday I started doing what they referred to as common spotting. So Tuesday we did blood work hormone levels not as high as they wanted. The spotting got heavier so I requested we do and ultra sound. We couldd not see any baby any where! SCARY. I was scheduled to get my hormone levels back done again and craziness they doubled. This news came just after the Dr told me this was not a normal pregnancy.

She scheduled me another ultra sound with the high quality machine on Friday and still nothing. They could not find the baby anywhere, they check my tubes to rule out a ectopic (pregnancy in the tubes) and nothing. Their findings was that I was maybe not as far along as they had thought. I was scheduled back on Thursday.

Yesterday morning (Jer and I's 8 year anniversary) I woke up and had some HORRIBLE craps we rushed to the ER to only wait (fun). They tested my blood hormone and it had doubled (CRAZY AGAIN) this meant I was likely not miscarrying. So they ordered another ultrasound. The dr said there was alot of fluid(blood) in my abdomen and most likely had a tube rupture due to an ectopic pregnancy. I was scared all I could due is pray, thankfully Jeremy was there every step of the way. Mia arrived not long after the news to pray with us and offer is more peace.

At 12:30 they took me back and did find a bleeding ruptured tube, praise God for the right place, the right time, and the right people.
The OR nurses kept say how pleasant Jer and I were, what a testimony to the pease of God. I am all patched up now and resting. I will be out for the rest of the week resting....and again our faith comes in knowing my God shall supply all you needs.

We were home sweet home by 4:30 and just a little bit after that Grandma got here. What a wonderful Godly support system we have. Thank you all for your prayers we love you all.

While in Gainsville a couple of weeks ago we got Alexander's pictures done. How sweet is this little boy!

I think this one is my favorite!

Alexander is funny these days....or at least he thinks so!

He changes his favorite color everyday.

He tells me all the time I have never done this before, (whatever it is we are doing, going to the park, movies, ect) and I will tell him yes you have.....he will say no mom not since I was 4.....drives me nuts.

He has his next 3 birthdays planed out....yesterday he got an Airhead at walmart and told me he wanted an airhead party.

He loves school and going to the gym, he really just wants to be with his friends and play.

One of his favorite thing to do is to run and hide whenever Jeremy gets home so he will have to find him. Funny thing is it is always the same hiding place.

Last weekend Alexander and I spent 18 hours on the road, driving from Alabama to Jacksonville, Jacksonville to Haines City, Haines City to Gainesville then to Lake City then HOME!!!

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for coming and getting me and Alexander and spending the weekend with us!!

While it Gainesville we celebrated Beckett's 3rd birthday......Alexander was ALL ABOARD for the train that was there. Great idea!!

Then on Sunday we got to go to baby Elin's Dedication. What a great time for all the family to be together to stand behind Kristy and Zach as the give their sweet baby back to God.

A couple of weeks ago we had an ice storm....it was bad enough they closed the school for 2 days. I think this is such a cool pic, our entire mail box was covered.

Ever felt this way?

That was my day today. Work has been a little crazy for me. Five of my oldest, potty trained, cleaners moved up and I got 7 new, young, untrained crazy children. Yep you did the math I had 21 kids and now I have 23!

Capacity for my room is 21 and I have had to argue with my director all day about taking the other 2 kids out of my room. So now it is like working with and for kids.

I have as part of my resolutions for the new year decided to go Meds free. I have been on Depression/Anxiety Meds for a full year now and feel like it is time go off them. I have done pretty good, last week I 1/2 my dose and then this week off completely. I have really only had some dizziness...now if you asked Jeremy he might have something else to say.

I am just praying that the rest of these transition go well!

Alexander's 4th Birthday was a Blast!

He had 2 friends from school come, Grandma and Grandpa came from Florida, Mia and Papi came and brought Evie and Beckett. It was just the right amount of kiddos for him.

We colored transformer sheets, made english muffin pizzas, face painted, opened a pinta and had YUMMY cookie cake.

I love my little transformer!

Right before we went down to Florida for Christmas we went with Mia and Papi to Nashville.

We went to see Morgan Graduate, I am so glad we got to go. Alexander was obsessed with her.....what is Morgan doing, where is Morgan, Morgan, Morgan, Morgan.....but of course when she would talk to him he would be shy.

He wasn't how however shy about giving or I should say getting kisses when he took her gifts. While visiting with Morgan we got to go to some really good places to eat. It was a great trip!!

After Santa's visit to Alabama we made our trip to Florida. On day one in Florida we went to sea world.

I could not help but put these 2 together. The photo on the left was Alexander at 9 months and on the right our week away from 4 year old. My how fast the time has gone.

We had a blast feeding the sea loins, watching shamu and playing in the play ground. I think Alexander's favorite part was the sea loin and otter show......which is also Jeremy's......go figure!

Halloween Fun

Alexander got to have a super fun week. He went down to gainsville last weekend with mia and papi to Evie's birthday. Then Grandma and Grandpa came to get him and keep him until I picked him up in Georgia on Wednesday. Pictures will come when I get them.

On our way back from Georgia on Wednesday we stopped at a pumpkin patch they had this amazing pumpkin bounce house.

On Thursday night we did Trunk or Treat at our church. We decorated our car as Transformers to match our little transformer. Jer and I were 50's school kids! Oh and the one with the AWFUL face.....Alexander tried a War Head.

Fall Festival at school. Each room had a game and candy to give out.

Alexander's First Field Trip

Alexander got to go on his first field trip yesterday. We went to the pumpkin patch, it was a blast. There was so much to do, they played games, played in the hay and dried corn, had story time, enjoyed a snack, took a hay ride and got to pick out a pumpkin.

For those of you wondering about me, I am doing MUCH better. I started getting much better when Mia came to visit the Sunday before Jeremy got home. She came and stayed the week with me and Alexander. What a difference it made to not only have wonderful company but to have so much help. She did some really wonderful things for me to help brighten up my mood. Taking wonderful care of Alexander, picking up and doing some much needed stuff around the house and having wonderful surprises for me when I got home. It really helped me come out of the depression and anxiety I had fallen into. I still have my bad days and moments but I am doing much better, thank you all so much for your prayers.

A couple of weeks ago we had to say goodbye to some of our good and only friends in Alabama. Jennifer, Josh, Jack and Leah, they were such a great help while Jeremy was gone. I am going to miss them and I know Alexander is going to miss Jack!

A Day in the Life...

As sweet and wonderful as these little faces are they are a handful! I thought I would share a day in my life at my new job.

Wake up is at 5 am, I get ready then wake Alexander at 5:40am to get him ready. We eat and are out the door by 6am to be at work by 6:30am. I usually have 5 children by 7 am, The next teacher arrives at 7:30am which by this time we are usually at 8 or 10 children. Breakfast arrives at 8am along with another teacher. Now there are 16 children.

8:30 brings a fun time....BATHROOMS...of my 22 children, 5 are potty trained. By this time there are around 18 children and I have to take ALL of them potty to try to go and change their pull up. Usually at least 3 of them have pooped by this time and I have changed it.

9am is Circle time, we do: colors, shapes, days of the week, months in a year and whatever the topics for the day are. Then to organized centers, we have a worksheet that has to be done, an art and another activity that we rotate them between (Day one of doing this was CRAZY, we have got it down pretty good now) until 9:45 when we go outside. While outside I have to check the children over for boo boos, runny noses, coughs, ect.

10:40am brings on another bathroom visit....FUN!! Then lunch at 11:15am, we are to serve food family style meaning each child dips their food on their plate. While they are eating we have to put out 22 cots and make them with sheets and blankets. After they are done eating we have to empty their treys into the trash so the kitchen staff can wash them. Then onto their beds for a story and nap.

12 noon is nap time and usually my break time, I take an hour break coming back at 1. I usually get an hour to bleach toys and prepare crafts and plans for the next day. Then the kiddos are up and going to the potty again between 2 and 2:30.

2:30 is snack and free play....thankfully we usually free play until I leave at 3:30.

Then it is home to fix dinner, bathe Alexander, get things ready for the next day and put everyone to bed.

It is amazing that I have time to breathe let alone feel anxious. My anxiety has been better these last 2 days, I have just been taking it one day at a time and praying for God's peace. I thank you all so much for your prayers! Tomorrow I am half way through week one!! I am confident that I will not have to take any leave from work. I am excited that in a week and a half we get to go down to Florida for a visit!!

I am enjoying my weekend in Atlanta with Jeremy. I had a little bit of a rough morning at the aquarium not for any real reason just anxious. Alexander has said a few things this weekend to keep me laughing.

Last night on our way from Auburn to Atlanta Alexander wanted Jeremy to turn off the head lights. We explained that it was not safe for us to do that cause we would not be able to see. We also told him that it is the law for us to keep them on or the police would stop us. He said "If that police tries to stop me I will just get some Sketchers and they will make me run super fast"

Then today after the aquarium we went and got some pizza. Mine was a little greasy so I was dabbing it with a napkin. Alexander asked "Mommy, why are you drying your pizza off?"

Then tonight Jeremy was telling Alexander we were going to go the the hotel and watch the Auburn game. Alexander asked if they were winning and Jeremy said not right now. Alexander said "They will cause I have on my winner shorts"

He is so funny all the stuff he comes up with. He has also taken to the credit commercial were the guys answers the phone "Hello My Name is Peggy" he says that one all the time.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, I am feeling better tonight than I have in a long time. I am debating taking a short leave from work until Jeremy gets back so I am not so overwhelmed. I have not decided yet, really hoping I do not need to do this.

What a long 6 weeks it has been. I have got a real taste of what it is like to be a single mom, I have no idea how they do it. I have really struggled with anxiety and loneliness so much. I think what has made this time so hard is that because I have to work I cannot go and stay with my mom and dad. Also having just moved to Alabama I don't really have alot of support. I have a few friends just not close ones yet. We have been going to a wonderful church for a few months now and are part of a life group but it has only meet a couple of times.

I am so happy to get to spend this coming weekend with Jeremy and Alexander in Atlanta. After that we have 2 more weeks with Jeremy having Drill in Jacksonville over the weekend.

Please keep us in your prayers as we finish out this time apart. Pray that I have peace that passes all understanding just as God promises us. Pray that I am able to keep my spirit up through the rest of this time. Right now I am just taking each day as it comes and praying. Thank you all for your prayers they mean so much. Just so you all this is something I have been struggling with since last Christmas and have been to the doctor. I am currently on medication and it helps but sometimes it is still hard.

Chewacla State Park and A Whole New Outlook

Jeremy came home from Atlanta and we went to Chewacla State Park in Auburn. It was so much fun, we climbed all down trails and all over the falls.

As many of you know I started a new job and Alexander started a new school. CRAZY does even begin to describe the last two weeks. I have assistants that don't really know what they are doing and don't really step up to help. But the last 2 Sundays, Pastor has spoke about surrendering ALL to God. So many time I am able to surrender many things to God, but to give my co-worker, son, boss...Can I?

This has been really weighing on my heart....I am giving it all over to God. Today I went in with a NEW mind set. God is in control. I rejoiced this morning on my way to work, when Alexander woke and said he did not want to go to school. I began to tell him all about the things he loves to do at school and by the time we got to school we were both excited about the day ahead. Today was my best day yet! I have decided to reclaim my joy and love what I know God has for me now!

They new job is going ok. I have a REALLY rough class and not alot of help in my room. I have 20 two year old's and 16 of them are boys! MADNESS! Alexander is adjusting pretty good. Continue to pray for us as I do the next 2 months on my own while Jeremy is gone.

Tomorrow is the day I start my new job and Alexander starts school back. I am excited but nervous. In fact I have been suffering with anxiety alot about going back to work. I really enjoyed getting to be at home again with Alexander. I felt like I was able to get so much done and getting to spend so much time with him was wonderful!

For us to GET to move closer to family we made some sacrifices. Jeremy took a little bit of a pay cut for a year or two and we cut some bills that we could but really me working will help out alot. I also think Alexander getting to be in preschool is great for him. Have all kinds of hands on learning and play with other children his age is so beneficial.

I wanted to ask for your prayers with us in this. We know that God has great things for us, we are the head and not the tail! I know that God will bless me in whatever I do, and I choose to surrender all this anxiety and worry about going back to work to Him!

My work week will be Monday through Friday 7 to 4, it may change just depending on how early my kids come. I may end up working 6:30 to 3:30 it is early but I would not mind it. The learning center is open for 6:30 to 6:30 the sad thing is that there is always kids that are dropped off at 6:30 and not picked up until 6:30. I am so thankful I get to work right next door to my sweet boy and he gets to be with me for the rest of the time!

Also as if starting a new job and just moving to Alabama was not enough....Jeremy is going to have a 6 week training class in Atlanta. It is only a 1 and 40 min drive so he will be able to come home every weekend and Alexander and I will make a trip there to see all it has to offer. This is a blessing because we thought Jeremy was going to have to take a 4 month class in Montgomery. It would have been October through January....so right through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Alexander's Birthday. He will start the training Aug 16 and it will go through the end of October.....All Visitors are welcome!!!!

I tend to be a little bit of a chicken all by myself so I would love to have a warm body to keep us company.....Grandma, Mia, Granny, Buff, Aunt Kristy, Aunt Sarah, Aunt Mel, ANYBODY....just give me a call and I will have a room ready!

I am not really trying to toot my own horn here but I just wanted to share. In my interview the director asked me to name one of my greatest accomplishment. A challenge I faced and overcame. I told her weight loss would have to be at the top of that list. Any of you who have know me more than 10 years have seen my battle with weight. Sharing this with her made me want to see difference beyond knowing the numbers. I made this collage of my largest size and weight. Most of them are right before I got prego with Alexander.

Here are the most recent pictures. I am down 75 pounds from my heaviest, which was about 4 years ago. I know that I am not where I need or want to be, it is a struggle I continue to face. I am planning a starting a new work out program in the next weeks and hope this will provide motivation to achieve my goal before the end of the year.

After moving, finding a car, Grandma, Grandpa, Mia, Papi, Melody, Michaela, Caedence, Caleb and Matthew visiting, Vacationing at the beach and finding a job I think we are finally settled. What a crazy month it has been!!

Mia came up last Wednesday to watch Alexander because I had a job interview. She took Alexander back with her to spend a few days. So Jeremy and I had the WHOLE weekend all to ourselves! It was wonderful! We left out house about 7 am on Saturday and did not get back home until 10pm....We went to yard sales, to Columbus, GA, to the PX/BX, to the Chattahoochee River, and back to Auburn for some dinner. What a fun crazy day we had.....On Sunday we caught up on some house stuff, we put some stuff in the attic and cleaned the garage..yuck...but glad it is done.

Yes you read right I had a job interview, I got the job but it was for a paraprofessional and not a lead teaching position. Which means not quite as much money as we wanted me to make. I struggled with this for a few days knowing that Phil 4:19 says "my God shall supply all your needs"....I thought maybe this was not the job God had for me since it was not what we needed me to make. Not too long after hitting the job market AGAIN putting in more applacatons...UGH....I got a call from the preschool that offered me the job. The lead position come available in the class I wanted....WHAT!?!?....this meant more money and the hours I wanted. God is so faithful to us."I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, my God. I sing praises to you with the lyre, Holy One of Israel." PS 71:22
I will start on Aug 9 and I am so excited!

We did also have to get a new car after the accident I had on the way to Alabama from Kansas. Our CRV was totalled out. We got a 2007 Santa Fe and we love it. We got a really great deal on it and know God was in the whole thing.
