Last Sea World Trip

Alexander and me made our last trip to Sea World on the passes that Mia and Papi gave us for Christmas before he was born. I was able to use my Military ID and get my mom and dad in. They had not been in at least 10 years. We ate lunch at Sharks, it was awesome! We sat right next to all the sharks!

Alexander fell asleep and slept for about an hour and half. Through all of the Shamu show, I was surprised the show was loud.

Our Church celebrated their 9th anniversary as a church and we had some special events this last weekend. Friday night we had a special service and we all wore our Life Happens Here shirts. Alexander did not go to that or the Banquet on Saturday Night he stayed with Mia and Nana. I am sure he had WAY more fun there!

Package, Sick and Pee Pee...Oh My

Alexander got his first package from "dad" a couple of days ago. He loved the monster truck he sent as for the rest, well.

I have been dealing a with a sick boy...Alexander has not been feeling well so on Monday I took him to the doctor. He had Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) in both eyes, an ear infection and tonsillitis. Poor baby, he was put on Antibiotics for the first time in his life and is feeling MUCH better. We have to put ointment in his eyes 4 times a day and he hates it as you would think. Below is a picture right after I put it in, I feel so bad for him. We had to miss this whole week of school but we are ready to start again Monday bright eyed and bushy tailed!

We went to see Dr. LaRue on Monday and all he could talk about was how long Alexander is. He was totally amazed by him. He is now 36 inches and 28 lb 12oz, that makes him off the chart. He is over the 100 percentile for length. They say that when they are 2 if you double their height that is how tall they are going to be. Right now doubled is 6 ft and we still have 5 more months to grow.

Every night before bath I set Alexander down on his potty, he has always just waited until he got in the bath to go......Until tonight! He peed in the potty! How cool is that? Maybe I can get him potty trained before we move to Kansas in December!

School Update

I wanted to say thank you to all of you out there that said a prayer for me and Alexander on Monday. We had a wonderful day! I have been blessed with a great group of 1 year old. We got them all to set in chairs and eat at the table for lunch and 2 snacks. It is amazing to see how smart they are, I am excited to get to impart in all of their lives. Alexander was pretty good for Monday and Tuesday, I do not think he likes all the attention that I am showing to the other children. I know he will get used to it and realize that I still love him the MOST!
I loved this picture. He is already for school with his book bag in one hand and his blankie in the other. He loves his book bag that Aunt Kristy and Uncle Zach got him for his birthday. He want to carry it or his lunch box all the time. The funny thing about this picture is that we were not going to school, we were on out way to walmart and he saw his book bag and grabbed it.

18 months pictures

Here are Alexander's 18 month pictures, he is such a beautiful child! Thanks to Mia for coming along and helping. He is a handful at a photo shoot and she was such a help. Also Thanks to Aunt Buff for his oh so cute gator outfit, which he wore to church today. I taught him today to point to himself when I ask "Who's a gator?" The things we do when daddy is away!

I also wanted to ask if everyone could say a special prayer for me and Alexander. I start teaching tomorrow, and Alexander is not dealing well to the changes. He is not used to sharing his mom, I know there will be an adjustment period but I really hope it is quick. Right now he is coping by hitting or being aggressive to other children or "bulling" as Ms. Terri in the nursery told me this morning. I feel like it is the right thing for me to go back to work and for Alexander and enjoy other children. I just hope I did not make the wrong choice by having him in the class with me. I guess I thought what would be the big difference if I still get to spend the WHOLE day with him. I will still have off every Friday and I will get to spend some one on one time with him, which I know we will both enjoy. So please keep us in your prayers, this is something I am a little, ok, alot stressed about.

Last week with Jeremy....at least for a little while.

Alexander and I had a wonderful time with Jeremy before he made the long trip to Oklahoma. (24 hours)

We went to stay at Mia's on Wednesday afternoon, when Alexander went down for his nap we went to do a little shopping! Then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and it was YUMMY! Once Alexander was asleep we went to see BATMAN which was so good!

Thursday we went to Sea world to see Shamu rocks, Alexander LOVED it. The first picture we would ask him where is Shamu and she would say don't know. He would cover his mouth, point and clap every time Shamu jumped. It was so cool to see him get it.

On Saturday at 11 we had a little going away party for Jeremy to be able to see everyone since it will most likely be at least next year before he gets to see everyone again. It was a lot of fun, Alexander and I got Jeremy a GPS so not matter where his is he can always find his way back to us!

Then on Saturday Night we went to Melody's 30th birthday, it was a surprise and she was very surprised.
There was a little dancing and Alexander was all about it, he was trying to copy everything we were doing.

Jeremy made it off Monday morning at around 8 am and arrived in Oklahoma last night around 7 pm. Pictures of his trip to come...

Yesterday was Caedence's 3rd birthday and I was her teacher so I brought in some cup cake for snack as you can see they were a hit!

Here are just a few photos of the school I am teaching at. I love the trees down all the hallways, you cannot really tell but all the leaves continue on to the ceilings. The classroom pictures are of my classroom, which is also Alexander's class.

On Saturday we went to baby Ava's 1st birthday party. I cannot believe she is one. I have such a funny story to share about her party. First of all Alexander was in the worst mood, the party was in Clermont, which is about an hour away. We left the house about 12 to make it to the 1pm party thinking Alexander would get a hour nap on the way, well I was wrong he fell asleep at 12:55 right before we got to the party. Ava had a pinata at the party, it was a really cool one. You do not hit it you just pull strings out from the bottom until one makes the bottom fall out. When the bottom finally fell out there were all kinds of great treats. Toy cameras, gold fish, smarties, and Dum Dums were some of the things in it. Alexander very quickly gathered up as many dum dums as he could. He did not touch or play with another thing in the entire pinata. So I collected them all from him, gave him one and put the rest in his diaper bag for later. When we got in the car to go home Jeremy pulled put like 10 dum dums that Alexander gave him. The reason he loves dum dums is because every time I took him to the post office the ladies all made a fuss over him and gave him a dum dum. It is really the only candy that he knows what it is. So when Jeremy pulled out all the sucker I just rolled and told him why he got them all.

Tell me this is not the awfullest creature ever! In Grandpa's garden there are tons, and I am fed up with them. I have started killing them every time I see them! My revenge started last night when I came home one of them hopped on my bag or shirt and came in the bathroom with me. I lost it I was screaming and swatting him with my shoe. I am going to get rid of them forever, yuck!!!

First Day of School

I have been so blessed to be able to stay at home with Alexander for 18 months. The time has come for me to start back work, so Alexander is going to school. Lucky for me he will be in my class! I have taken a job at our Church teaching their one year old class. I am very excited and cannot wait for Alexander to make all kinds of new friends.

This is a pictures of Alexander practicing taking a nap on a nap mat! It took him like 5 mins to fall asleep, I was in shock!

First Day of School

All the stuff we had to bring with us.

On our way...
Alexander had to stay with another teacher this week because it was a teacher work week. The school does not officially open until August. He did really good, he is a little handsie so we are going to have to work on that. He did not nap very well because there were other older children in the room the connected to the nap room. So he has been a little grumpy the last 2 night. I am sure he will get the hang of it.

Even Dixie and Libby have made their selves at home

Panama City Beach ~ Fouth of July

On Friday we spent the day at Lake Powell. Alexander played in the mud and even sampled it. YUCK!

Alexander got to go on 2 wave runner rides. The first Jeremy took him around for about 10 mins. The second one me, Jeremy and Alexander went on. I was holding Alexander in my lap and I stopped feeling him move. When I looked down I realized he had fallen asleep.

We went down on the beach at about 8:30 and watched the fireworks. They are always so amazing! Alexander really loved them, he would laugh when ever alot would go off at once.

We finally got to enjoy the product of our hard work. The peas were so good! Maybe it would not be too bad if we shelled more next year......Just Kidding!

Panama City Beach ~ Day 4

On Tuesday July 1st we rented a boat.

Alexander was not to happy about having to wear his life vest at first but in a little while he was fine. We stopped to let everyone get out and go for a swim. It took us a little while to find a good spot because the jelly fish were so bad.

Alexander loved driving the boat and really loved pushing all the buttons.

We pulled the boat up to Bayou Joe's and had some "Yummy" lunch.

Then back on the boat for a nap. All the kids were asleep in no time after lunch.

They woke us refreshed and ready to go!

Panama City Beach ~ Days 1, 2 & 3

We arrived at Panama City Beach on Saturday June 28th for our annual 4th of July trip.

Saturday night we went to Shuckum's, my favorite place to eat, and had dinner. They have this camel outside and we put Alexander and Evie on it. I love the way Evie is holding on!

When we got back from dinner Alexander could not wait to go on a golf cart ride. In fact I am pretty sure that was his favorite part of the beach!

Unfortunately, it rained ALL day on Sunday so Jeremy, Alexander and I went and walked through the mall.

On the way into Panama City Mia stopped and pick up some UNSHELLED peas. So much for vacation.......ha ha! Sunday night we all sat out on the patio with the rain and shelled peas. Believe it or not it was allot of fun. We got to enjoy spending time and talking with family. Although I am not sure it should be a yearly thing....lol.

On Monday, it was rain again! We did get a short hour period that it was clear so Jeremy, me, Alexander, Kristy, Zach and Evie headed to the beach to avoid cabin fever! It was nice the sun was not out and there was a cool breeze.
