Bath Time

I found these really cool bath crayons for Alexander aren't they awesome!

This is his "Chew it up face"

He is so beautiful.

They didn't taste good.

Alexander is growing up so fast. Right now his favorite thing is "choo-choo". It is the first word out of his mouth every morning. Choo-choos are pretty much all he thinks about! I love the way he says "choo-choo".

Fun Time With Mia and Papi

We went to see Mia and Papi last week for a couple of days and had a great time.

All Alexander wanted to do is swim. He loved their new Shamu float even thought Mia and Mommy got a little dizzy blowing it up!

We went to Chick-fil-a for lunch one day and Alexander played in the play area. The stairs leading to the top of the play structure were too hard for Alexander to climb so he kept trying to climb up the slide. One of the times he tried to climb we lost track of him and we looked up and he had climbed ALL the way to the top of the slide. We were amazed that he was able to do it. One of the times he climbed up he fell backwards and bumped his head, you can see his knot on his head in the picture. It did not stop him, he kept right on playing.

Alexander got Mia and Papi some special things for Grandparent's day. They are very special grandparents and we love them!

I thought these photos were too cute. He found Evie's binky in Mia car and decided he would try it out. The photos of him sitting on the couch was too funny, we were ready to walk out the door and Elmo's World came on. He hopped up on the couch and did not move! There is just something about that little red monster!

MGM

We went to MGM today for Granny's 74th Birthday. I hope when I am 74 I am able to take my great grand kids to Disney!

We went on the new Toy Story ride, you have a gun on your ride that you have to shoot the bull eyes for points and Grandpa smoked us all! It was fun.....oh and it was 3D.

Then to Playhouse Disney LIVE on stage. Oh my did Alexander LOVE this! All his favorite characters were there: Mickey and the clubhouse gang, Pooh, Tigger and Darby, All the little Einsteins and his favorite Handy Manny.

Caedence is the best example of how we all felt at the end of the day!

We also went to dinner last night for Granny's Birthday but I forgot my camera.

More MGM

Alexander loved Quincy from Little Einsteins. He gave him a BIG hug.....

And a BIG kiss.

But I think the highlight of the day was Handy Manny. Alexander walked up and gave his blanket to Manny...how sweet. I have a video of it and will post it soon. Caedence was a little scared of Quincy but she loved Handy Manny!

Cypress Gardens

Aunt Mel, Caedence and Caleb came over to Cypress Gardens with me, Alexander and Grandma. We rode every ride that they were tall enough to ride. Alexander really loves Caedence or "dencedence" as he says. It is so amazing to take Alexander places I loved to go when I was little.

Animal Kingdom

Alexander LOVES characters!

He ran right up to Pluto and Rafiki.....I don't think he really knew or cared who Pocahontas was.

We are all about the "CHOO CHOO" these days. He will pull his pretend whistle and just smile! We rode the train over to the petting zoo, which I think was his favorite part.

He loved the goats, he chased them and wanted to touch all of them. He was so funny running and giggling! Check out the Mickey cut into the Lamb's wool....cute!

He rode the Dino ride with me and grandma, how happy is this kid!

St Pete Beach, Causey Family Reunion

We had a great beach trip this year. Jeremy flew in early Saturday Morning (1 am) and stayed until Monday afternoon. Alexander and I were so glad to have him for the weekend even if we had to share him with everyone. I really wondered how Alexander would react to seeing Jeremy after him being gone for a month and a half. I wondered if he would remember him or not be happy to see him. Alexander was very happy to see his dad, in fact that was one of his favorite words all weekend..."daddy." It has continued to be one of his favorite words. Every time my phone ring he says "daddy" and usually he is right it is dad. He has also started to say "hello Daddy' on his little play phone. It is funny that he know Jeremy is with us even if it is not physical.

The WHOLE Causey clan minus the Jeremy, John, my dad a Michael. They were fishing!

Family Picture.....
We were going to do our family pictures on the beach again this year but the weather had another plan. Alexander was not very happy to be posing at all!

Mia taught Alexander how to pick and smell flowers this weekend and this is the one he picked for me. How sweet!

During this last month Alexander has changed SO much. It is like everything we have been teaching him has clicked. He will pretty much try to say any word you say to him.

Here are some of the words he says all the time now, I am sure I will not remember them all. He know at least 50 words right now.
Hello, Mom, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Lala (Michaela), Caedence "dencedence", Pop, Papi, Mia, Bird, Dixie, Libby, Choo Choo, Truck, Car, Mickey Mouse, Pooh, Oh No, Outside, Go, Shoes, Now, I said No, more, me, Tow mater, please, cheese, Nemo, Elmo, don't know, flower, and I am sure there are more but I cannot think of any.

He has started to really enjoy doing puzzles although nothing compares to a monster truck.

Alexander Drives Like His Dad!

We found this car at at Garage Sale and clould not help but buy it. He has just really learned how to work it but has not really got the stearing part yet!

Last Sea World Trip

Alexander and me made our last trip to Sea World on the passes that Mia and Papi gave us for Christmas before he was born. I was able to use my Military ID and get my mom and dad in. They had not been in at least 10 years. We ate lunch at Sharks, it was awesome! We sat right next to all the sharks!

Alexander fell asleep and slept for about an hour and half. Through all of the Shamu show, I was surprised the show was loud.

Our Church celebrated their 9th anniversary as a church and we had some special events this last weekend. Friday night we had a special service and we all wore our Life Happens Here shirts. Alexander did not go to that or the Banquet on Saturday Night he stayed with Mia and Nana. I am sure he had WAY more fun there!

Package, Sick and Pee Pee...Oh My

Alexander got his first package from "dad" a couple of days ago. He loved the monster truck he sent as for the rest, well.

I have been dealing a with a sick boy...Alexander has not been feeling well so on Monday I took him to the doctor. He had Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) in both eyes, an ear infection and tonsillitis. Poor baby, he was put on Antibiotics for the first time in his life and is feeling MUCH better. We have to put ointment in his eyes 4 times a day and he hates it as you would think. Below is a picture right after I put it in, I feel so bad for him. We had to miss this whole week of school but we are ready to start again Monday bright eyed and bushy tailed!

We went to see Dr. LaRue on Monday and all he could talk about was how long Alexander is. He was totally amazed by him. He is now 36 inches and 28 lb 12oz, that makes him off the chart. He is over the 100 percentile for length. They say that when they are 2 if you double their height that is how tall they are going to be. Right now doubled is 6 ft and we still have 5 more months to grow.

Every night before bath I set Alexander down on his potty, he has always just waited until he got in the bath to go......Until tonight! He peed in the potty! How cool is that? Maybe I can get him potty trained before we move to Kansas in December!

School Update

I wanted to say thank you to all of you out there that said a prayer for me and Alexander on Monday. We had a wonderful day! I have been blessed with a great group of 1 year old. We got them all to set in chairs and eat at the table for lunch and 2 snacks. It is amazing to see how smart they are, I am excited to get to impart in all of their lives. Alexander was pretty good for Monday and Tuesday, I do not think he likes all the attention that I am showing to the other children. I know he will get used to it and realize that I still love him the MOST!
I loved this picture. He is already for school with his book bag in one hand and his blankie in the other. He loves his book bag that Aunt Kristy and Uncle Zach got him for his birthday. He want to carry it or his lunch box all the time. The funny thing about this picture is that we were not going to school, we were on out way to walmart and he saw his book bag and grabbed it.

18 months pictures

Here are Alexander's 18 month pictures, he is such a beautiful child! Thanks to Mia for coming along and helping. He is a handful at a photo shoot and she was such a help. Also Thanks to Aunt Buff for his oh so cute gator outfit, which he wore to church today. I taught him today to point to himself when I ask "Who's a gator?" The things we do when daddy is away!

I also wanted to ask if everyone could say a special prayer for me and Alexander. I start teaching tomorrow, and Alexander is not dealing well to the changes. He is not used to sharing his mom, I know there will be an adjustment period but I really hope it is quick. Right now he is coping by hitting or being aggressive to other children or "bulling" as Ms. Terri in the nursery told me this morning. I feel like it is the right thing for me to go back to work and for Alexander and enjoy other children. I just hope I did not make the wrong choice by having him in the class with me. I guess I thought what would be the big difference if I still get to spend the WHOLE day with him. I will still have off every Friday and I will get to spend some one on one time with him, which I know we will both enjoy. So please keep us in your prayers, this is something I am a little, ok, alot stressed about.
