First Hair Cut

We took Alexander today to get his first hair cut. In humid Florida he had beautiful ringlets, but in dry, cold Kansas that is not the case. His hair is frizzy and all a mess. This is the before!

The first cut.

All done!

He was a trooper, the only time he got a little upset was when they put his cape on. But one of the girls brought him over a sucker and after that he was a dream. The girls keep saying he is so good. He look like a little boy, doesn't he?

Little Reindeer

How cute is this reindeer outfit! Grandma got it for him for Christmas. I love the tail! Can you see what he has in his hand? "hot chococ"

Seeing Santa again...there was a Choo choo on the other side of Santa.

Check out Alexander's Bagel....He loves Candy Canes but this did not taste like one.

Christmas fun

I love this outfit, Mia and I found it last year at our favorite store in Jacksonville!

Can you tell what Alexander is saying?

"Ho Ho Ho"

"Which stocking is yours Alexander?" I asked

"beer, candy cane" He replies

We have stepped up from the trash truck to the snow plow truck! It WAY better to Alexander!

See how cool he thinks it is!

Sledding in the back yard

Grandma got Alexander a sled for Christmas and we tried it out yesterday in all the snow we got. Alexander loved being pulled around in it. We are not really comfortable driving on the snow yet and our roads had not been plowed so we did not drive out to go down a hill....maybe another snow.

Dixie and Libby went out with us to enjoy some snow fun!

We came in to some yummy hot chocolate.

The Upstairs: Master Bedroom and Alexander's room

Here is the master....it still needs work. I have not got any picture up in here yet. It has 3 closets and we need them as they are small! The bathroom is between Alexander's room and ours. It has a hall entrance and a entrance from our bedroom.

Here is Alexander's room, it was the 1st room I completed. It is also the room I rearranged the most.

Look at all those toys! His Christmas tree has Disney Cars on it. He picked them out.

This is Jeremy's coffee from yesterday morning. He left it in his car to go into work and when he came out at 3pm it was frozen solid!

Living room and Kitchen

Due to some harassing comments on Facebook and phone calls I am posting some pictures of the inside of our house. Just kidding Kristy, I will take pictures of the rest of the house as the week goes along! I wish you could have come up with me and seen it for yourself!

Here is the kitchen, it is on the mid-level along with the front door and loving room. Our town home has 4 levels if you include the basement. The garage is on the bottom and you enter there to a bathroom and bedroom. You come up a couple of stairs to the living room then up a couple more steps to 2 more bedrooms and a bath. Alexander and Jeremy and I are all up stair and the down stairs is a guest bedroom.....so we better get some guests! The bakers rack was a great deal I found on Craig's List! Oh and the door you see in the Kitchen leads to a deck to the fenced back yard.

The rest of the kitchen.

The living room.

I am still working on a solution for Alexander's toys!

More pictures to come!

ALL of the Burgess' are in Kansas now!

My mom flew into Kansas City last night with Alexander. She said he did really good on the plan, he even slept for an hour. He was VERY happy to see me and Jeremy. He would hug me then want to go and hug Jeremy, he kept going back and forth.
When we got to the house there was still snow on the ground from when it snowed on Tuesday. Alexander LOVED it. It thought it was the funniest thing. He would walk all through and make it crunch.

Yes I hit him with the snow ball and he thought it was so funny!

When we finally got him to come inside I took him upstairs to his room to see ALL the toys he had not seen in 6 months. He had a cow he pulled everything out and played. I had completely set up his room so he was very excited to see all of his stuff.

We ventured back out in the snow this morning since most if it will be melted by tomorrow.

He does not really like to wear a hat or gloves but he will have to get used to it.

We are HERE!

Sorry I have not blogged but we have been VERY busy! Jeremy and I both arrived in Kansas on Monday night. We spent our first night here on an air mattress but did not really care, we were just happy to be together.

The movers arrived early Tuesday morning and so did the SNOW! In fact it snowed from about 10am until 4pm. We got about 3 inches which may not be allot to these Kansas folk but for me it was ALLOT! In fact it was so cold on moving day I put on gloves to unpack.

Our second night is dipped down to 12 degrees with a wind chill of 2, but thank God we had our bed along with flannel sheets.

The pups seem to be fine in the snow, except that Dixie HATES to wear anything! But it is just too cold for them not to wear their sweaters.

We decided to venture out today, we had to go to Lowes and Walmart. We got a shovel and Jeremy shoveled off the driveway and back deck. We are learning to drive in the snow, it looks like we are going to get more practice next week.

Travel Day One

I started my move to Kansas today. I started at 8:30am this morning and got into Nashville about 9pm. I spent most of the day in Georgia. It seems to be the forever state!

On the road!

The puppies did GREAT! They slept most of the day in the front seat, well really there was no where else for them to sit!

It is pretty cold here in Nashville, so I am staying bundled up tonight. I will be sure to post something when we make it to Kansas tomorrow. It is hard to believe this born and raised Florida girl is going to live in the snow. I am excited and cannot wait to post pictures of Alexander in the snow.

I know I have been slacking but I have been very BUSY!!!

Here are a few photos from Thanksgiving. We went to my family's thanksgiving for lunch them to Mia and Papi's for dinner.

I stayed the night at Mia's to do some black Friday shopping, but I did not get much sleep. Kristy and I decided to go to the midnight PJ madness at the outlets. So we went at 11pm and stayed through 2am. Came and went to bed until 5am and back out until 5pm.....whew what a day....it was too much fun!

Last Sunday I had to take a load of stuff to Jacksonville to put in storage and Buff came with me. We got to spend the WHOLE day together. It was awesome! We unloaded the car and headed to Amelia Island. We ate at one of my favorite places, Barbara Jeans. Then on our way home we made a spur of the moment stop at ICE, there was not another person in the whole thing. It was a perfect day!

On Friday night all of my best friends got together to send me off to Kansas. We ate at the Melting pot.....YUMMY! We had so much! Thanks girls! Especially Buff for putting the whole thing together for me!

My Christmas surprise from Mia. Alexander spent the last couple of days with Mia and Papi and Mia took Alexander to see Santa. How PERFECT is this picture. It could be the display! Thanks Mia!

Brenda's visit

My Auntie Brenda came in from New Jersey for John and Sarah's wedding and we had a busy week together.

Here are just a couple more pictures from the wedding.

On Monday night we went to ICE with the whole clan. It was a blast...Alexander got to go down the slide 4 time. We were VERY cold!

Then on Tuesday we went to Epcot. I love the photo of Alexander asleep on his Grandma. He was so tried!
