Goodbye Jacksonville

This was our last week in Jacksonville, it was a little sad, a little exciting and ALOT of work.

Mia and Papi came up last weekend to help us move as much stuff as we could into storage. Papi had to leave on Sunday and we were so thankful for his help. Mia stayed to WHOLE week to help us finish up packing. We could not have done it without her. She is the QUEEN of packing! We even had a little help from Beckett over the weekend!

Alexander really enjoyed the Uhaul truck. Actually he really loved all of the packing process excluding seeing his toys in boxes. We closed on our house on Friday, my close friend was oour realtor and what a great one she was. Mia took Alexander and the dogs back to her house so Jeremy could go to closing. Did I mention we could not have done this week without her?

We took a short break on Wednesday to make a trip to our favorite place, the Jacksonville Zoo. Alexander feed the giraffes, played in the water area and went down the slide about 100 times. I really hope this was not our last time to the Jax Zoo. We also went to a couple of out favorite places this week. Like Cleo's, it is a SHACK that has the BEST taco salad you will ever eat. We also went to Dick's Wings.

We were so luck to get to spend Mia's Birthday with her. We had a SUPER yummy cookie cake and took a break from packing to go to dinner. We took Mia to Barbra Jean in Amelia Island, it is a really good seafood restaurant on the Amelia River.

Yep, he is doing what you think he is doing.....How did he figure this out? He is WAY too smart.

I thought this was funny, He looks like all the other Americans driving.

Starbucks in hand! All he needs is his cell phone on his ear.

Alexander is growing so fast.
He is now is size 5 diapers, 18 months cloths and size 6 shoes.
He can say SO many words we are really not counting anymore.
Some of my favorite things that he does now are:
He "HONKS" his nose and other's noses. Jeremy taught him this one.
He pushes the button to open and close the garage door, to which he laughs about each time.
He loves books, he will bring me one and sit on my lap for me to read it.
He blows kisses and when he does he say "Mawh"
Looks out the window every time he see Jeremy leave.
Loves Balls and Balloons which he can say both of.
He has got really good at his signs, he now tells us what he wants more of. I have really got to learn more so I can teach him more.

Here we are at the Jacksonville zoo feeding the giraffes. Alexander loved see them this close.

We are really going to miss this place.

Jacksonville Fun

Since we will no longer be Jacksonville folks as of May 30th we are going to see and do all our favorite things here. The best part is we are doing them with all our favorite people.

Last Thursday Alexander, me, Jacob and Becky went to the Alligator Farm in St Augustine. It was AWESOME! There were so many gators. The best was Maximo, he is the world's largest gator at 1200 pounds. His cage was being cleaned out so we could not see him very well, so I was not able to get any pictures but he was HUGE!

Our ALL time favorite place.....The Jacksonville Zoo

We went today to the zoo, Jeremy, me, Alexander, Erik, Sarah and Ava. We had to get pictures taken again in our favorite spots. The first 2 were taken today at 16 months the second 2 were taken at 9 months and the third 2 were taken when he was 1 month. The child has grew up at the Jacksonville Zoo!

Here we are at the Splash grounds, Alexander ran ALL over the whole area.

Hmmmm......Caution! Elephants are Dangerous Animals......Should I be this close?

Mom's Theme

This is so funny and true!

Worlds Greatest Mother!

I wanted to wish a special Happy Mother's Day to my mom. I miss her so much today.
This is the first year I have not not been with her and I cannot wait to see her on Friday.
Mom, I love you so much. Thank you for ALL you do for me!

The Perfect Mother's Day

I had the perfect Mother's Day today.
Of course every morning that I get to wake up to this face is perfect but today was so special.
I got to spend the entire day with my 2 favorite people, Alexander and Jeremy.

Enjoying his bagel this morning.
Yes, I know he is in Christmas PJs, but they still fit!

This was the wonderful spread I came out to this morning.
Jeremy went to Panera and got some bagels and Starbucks for some hot coco!
He got me this great "Family" frame and put pictures in it. I love tulips and look how beautiful these are.

This was my big mother's day gift! I love it.
It is a Pandora charm bracelet with 4 charms.
The charms are: Little boy for Alexander, a heart for Jeremy, a dog for Dixie and Libby and a Strawberry for me.

We had all our wonderful Jacksonville moms to our house for lunch.
We ate so much, I made ham and squash casserole and our friends brought green bean casserole,
baked beans and strawberry pretzel delight (Yummy!). It was perfect.

I have such beautiful moms in my life!
Happy Mother's Day!

More up dates

Sorry I have not updated this in a while but we have had a couple of really busy weeks. First Alexander came down with the flu then I came down with the flu and then Mia and Nana came to see us for a week. We really enjoyed having them in Jacksonville!

We went to see Jeremy's jets take off at the airport, but we made it too late and did not get to see them. Look how cute Alexander shoes are, Mia got them for him while she was here. They are little car crocs.

We did get an offer on our house and accepted it. I was less than what we wanted but we do not have the time to sit on it. We close on May 30. Jeremy will be staying up here with one of his friends through the end of June. I am going to go ahead and move in my my mom and dad. Jeremy starts Air Traffic Controller School on July 14 so he will be driving up to Oklahoma City a couple of days ahead. Man are we going to miss him for 4 months! We are very happy that we sold our house but also a little sad. This is our first home and we built it. I am also a little sad that we have to let Alexander's nursery go.

Alexander and I went to have some Mother's Day pictures taken. I have been trying to get this photo for a while, for some reason he would never give me a kiss at the photo shop. What a perfect mother's day gift!

We had to get the one of him with his blanket! He LOVES it!

Cool Off

I love this picture, Alexander is trying to blow bubbles!

It was so hot a couple of days ago we decided to set up the pool in the backyard. All Alexander wanted to do was get in and out, in and out. There was so much grass in the pool when he was done we had to dump the water.

When I was little me and my brothers would always set the pool up under the swing set so we could slide into the pool. I combined two of Alexander favorite things when I did it for him!

Kansas City Here We Come!

Well, it looks like we are going to Kansas. For all of you worried you will not get to see us before we leave here is how it is going down. Jeremy went to Texas on Monday night for his interview on Tuesday, it was a success and he signed an offer to take the position. We have an offer on the house, it is not what we wanted so we are negotiating the details. The buyer wants to see the house tomorrow so we should know more then. If he takes the house we will close on May 30. Ahh! I cannot believe this is all happening so fast!

We know this is ALL GOD! Back last July when we thought Jeremy would not have a job here for another year. We asked our Pastor (Pastor Shirley) to pray over us. She said the word she received for the Lord for us was "Quick". To Jeremy and I that meant right then, but as we can see now it meant it would happen "Quick" but in God's time! Isn't He awesome.

Jeremy will start Air Traffic Controller School on July 14, and will be there until November 14. I will be staying with my mom and dad in central Florida. So we can save money for the move. We are both VERY excited and feel that this is where God wants us. We know God is going to take care of all the little things that we are unsure about too.

Here are a few pictures from while Jeremy was in Texas. My grandmother came and stayed with me and helped me with a few things. She read Alexander a nap time story, she said it had been a very long time since she had read a children's story. We are so glad she came and stayed with us so we did not have to stay by ourselves.

Alexander rocking the Wayfarers!

This is what TOTAL HAPPINESS looks like! Who doesn't love an ice cream cone?

Look at this chair, I got it today at a garage sale for $3.00! They are $35.00 at walmart!
What a deal and he loves it!

It is amazing how much you can say only having one of each letter in the alphabet. "I love Alxander so much!"

Last Thursday my friend Becky asked me and Alexander to come play at the play area with her and Jacob. They had so much fun playing together. Becky bought Jacob a pair of sunglasses, how funny is he in this picture?

What's going on?

As many of you know last September we had a job scare. Jeremy is on temporary orders at his Air Force base. Last July he was told that when his orders were over (September 2007) that they would not be extending them. As you would think this was scary, he began to send his resume to every possible place he could work and we put the house on the market. They did extend him through this September.

One of the places he applied was to take the test to be an air traffic controller. In March he finally heard back from them and scheduled a test date. He went to Daytona and took this 6 hours monster of a test, WOW! Two weeks later we got the results back, and he made a 90% out of 100%, we were very pleased. This is a good score as you would think! Just so you know he could not study for this test as it is an aptitude test.

Well, last week we got word that they wanted him to go in for an interview. Upon further research we discovered that the position is already Jeremy's. That unless something really wild happened during the interview, he will be an air traffic controller! We are very excited about this, it is schedule for Tuesday April 29 and will take place in Texas.

The position is in KANSAS!

That is right folks we are moving to KANSAS CITY!

In the middle of all of this, Jeremy was up for reenlistment in the Air National Guard. In order to reenlist he had to pass his PT test. This is a test of his physical strengths: running, push ups, situps, waist measurements and weight. Since January he has lost 25 pounds and 3 inches off his waist! WOW! I am so proud of him. He was able to meet all the requirements and pass his test. So on Sunday night (His test was Sunday morning) we went out to celebrate with some pizza. Something he has not had much of on his diet. There is one small thing we are praying GOD is going to take care of for us (Since He already took care of ALL this other stuff), in reenlisting Jeremy should be getting a bonus. Because of the type of orders he is on, there is a small chance that he may not get the bonus. We KNOW that God is going to take care of us and we rely on Him!

Finally, there is the small matter of the house. We would ask that all of you would pray that God would send us the buyer for our house and that we would set it at the right price. We have already come down $15,000 from our original asking price. We are going to wait until Jeremy goes on his interview to decide if we want to lower it again.

Thank you all for your prayers and support, we love you all.

All the time is play time!

Alexander has always been a little cuddlier....I love it. That is why his Mia calls him her snuggle bug! Lately he has started to climb into mine and Jeremy's lap to watch TV. It is so great, he is ready for bed in the ones with Jeremy. He is watch snuggle bye and goodnight.

Playing in the back yard is what we like to do. He loves his swing set, I found it at a garage sale for $30 back when he was 4 months old. He climbs up the back and slides or falls down the front. When Jeremy and I are outside with him we sit in the chairs that go with our table. The other day Alexander went under the table and climbed into the chair to sit with us.

He has a Tupperware cabinet in the kitchen and he knows it is a cabinet for him. He takes out all the Tupperware and carries it around. The other day he even crawled into the cabinet.

We love Chick fil a! Alexander crawls through all the tubes and slides down the slide. Yes, I had to crawl through the tubes to get these pictures!

Pop and Granny come to visit.

Pop and Granny came to spend the weekend with us in Jacksonville.
On Saturday we went to the zoo for the day.

Alexander took Pop and Granny up the stairs and down the slide. Pretty cool that Alexander got to go down the slide with his Great Grandfather. Me nor Jeremy ever met either of our Great Grandfathers. Amazing, huh?

Our favorite photo spots at the zoo.

After a great time at the zoo we came back to the house and took a much needed nap.
For dinner we went to Maggiano's and Pop took us to Kilwin's for some ice cream, mmmmm it was good.

Sunday morning we went to church and ate a Crisper's (my favorite!) for lunch.

Pop and Granny took Alexander for a Sunday afternoon walk in his wagon. He loves that wagon!

I think we all had a great weekend and will sleep really good tonight!

Alexander and mommy's day at the zoo.

These are the stairs that lead to the SLIDE! Alexander knows exactly where they lead too! We went up the stairs and down the slide about 100 times and laughed every time. It was a blast.
Then on to see the "birds", the ant eater and the turtles. We were hungry after see all those animals so we stopped to eat the picnic I packed. Alexander loves PB & Js.
Finally to the water play area. Alexander had a blast running all over the play area. I love this picture where he stuck his face in the water, he did it a couple of time and would come up smiling each time.
