More Oztoberfest

After the museum we found this wonderful cafe called the friendship bakery. Ironically this is were we made some new friends and this is where our day changed so much! The 2 ladies sitting down are Theresa and Wilma, they asked us if we were going to the play that night. We said no and she then offered us tickets that she had extra. When we arrived we found out that the seats were the BEST in the house. They were front row and center stage.

It was an amazing production!

Me with Dorthy!

This is Robert Baum, he is the Great Grand Son of L. Frank Baum who is the writer of The Wizard of Oz.

What an amazing day!

OZtoberfest

So I have this BEST friend and she LOVES "The Wizard of OZ". She came into town this weekend to see me and visit the festival of OZ. So we drove 2 hours to the cutest town for what would be one of the best days ever! This is how our day started, at the museum of OZ.

I thought this was so cool, the tin man!

This is Jerry, he is the munchkin from the wizard of oz movie that gave Dorthy the lollipop. He is to turn 90 in January, WOW!

Poppies will make them sleep. This was taken in the museum, it was great!

Red Sox

Last weekend Jeremy took Alexander to a children's museum. It looked like that had a great time to me. I love the pictures of him watering the plants

On Thursday we went to our first real season Red Sox game. They played at the K which is the Royal's stadium.

This is too cute, this is the first time he had ever drank from the carton.

We sat right over the bull pin and got to watch the Red Sox pitchers warm up. Great Seats!

Exciting Weekend

We had a fun time this last weekend. We went to a local festival called Old Settler's...it was great. Alexander enjoyed a couple of rides, they were kind of pricey so he did not get to ride but three. Then we enjoyed a funnel cake and cherry limeade...yummy!

Then on Saturday Alexander's friend Aiden had a birthday party at our favorite park Deanna Rose. It was a round up...as you can see from the hats. How cute! They started by all going on a hay ride which Alexander loved.

Tell me this is not the cutest cup cake! I love the pig!

We got Aiden a Thomas the Train set but I think Alexander wanted it too. While I was wrapping it he kept say "Aiden's present for Alexander" and I had to explain to him that his birthday was coming up in a couple of months and he would get presents then. Then he started saying "Alexander Monster Truck birthday."

More Beach

I love this pictures of Alexander, learning all about flight safety.

This was the mother of all lunch set ups, we put Alexander on a pillow in his chair and then the computer with "Cars" in it. That is the life!

I have no clue why he wanted to carry this ball around in his mouth, but it was funny to me.

This is my family and I love them!

Update:

Everything in the Burgess home is going wonderfully. God is blessing us beyond what we could ask or think! Jeremy's training is going really good everyday he seems to get better and better at being an air traffic controller, be warned though he asked me the other day how long I could live in Kansas!?! So I will in turn ask all of you how long can you come up to visit us? I am truly enjoying my new job. I love the teacher I work with she is a blessing from God. Alexander's teachers are also so great. Potty training is going so great. Alexander is going days without accidents and is now telling us all the time about poops. He is now in size 9 shoes, 3T pants and 3T-4T shirts. It is crazy how fast he is growing. He loves to talk about colors, numbers, shapes, and "ABC's", in fact at the beach there were Pentagon stepping stones and he knew what they were.

Family Reunion at the Beach

We spent Labor Day at St. Pete beach with the Causey Clan. We had a BEAUTIFUL day at the beach. I love the picture of Caleb with sand all over his face. I put face stick on him and he some how got sand all over his face, the best part is that he didn't care.

This was Alexander's bed in the hotel. We took the cutions from the couch and covered them.

On our girl day we went to lunch at the Don Ceasar...YUMMY. We ordered so much food, believe it or not we ate most of it.
Alexander and Grandma having fun playing the pool.

Causey Family Picture.

The WHOLE Causey Crew, as you can see we fill up the hotel.

The Burgess family with the Dirty Pirate.

We even had a great date night with John and Sarah playing Putt Putt.

Alfter our long weekend this is what Alexander did almost the whole plane ride home.

Playroom

Alexander and I had a wonderful first week at the new Learning Center. His teachers are wonderful and I love my class. On Monday Alexander fell and busted his lip. Then on Thursday he jumped (which is his favorite thing) from a slide into the wall. OUCH!

On Friday afternoon we took Alexander to the park for some much needed fresh air.

Alexander's Surprise.....His playroom. I told him I had a surprise for him and now he says "wanting go play in prise"

After 3 weeks of work I finished and got it all set up for him. He loves it!

...and again

On Friday I had the day off so Jer and I took Alexander back to Denna Rose. What a great park! I love the worried look on this face in this pic, he does not like it that the goat is jumping up on his daddy.

Thought this pic was to cute not to share!

We paid a whole $3 for Alexander to ride the horse, he loved it! He went all the way around without us like a pro.

Is this not the cutest butterfly you have ever seen?!?!

Today was our first day at the new school, it was wonderful. Such a positive, christian atmosphere. No one had ugly things to says about another person, no one complained. It was delightful! Alexander had a wonderful day, his room is right next door to mine. In fact our rooms have an adjoining door. I love his teachers, they are wonderful. Thank God for the right place at the right time!

Deanna Rose

We found this amazing FREE park about 10 mins down the road....it was amazing! Alexander got to ride the tractor.

Pump water...

and feed all kinds of animals. There were ducks, goats, cows, turkeys, and sheep. They had fishing, horse back riding, wagon rides and all kinds of other stuff. I could not believe it was free.

Update on my mom: They went in to do the Heart cath and found NOTHING! God is good!

New Job

So much is going on up here in Kansas. It has been a nice long year since Jeremy started his Air traffic controller training. Our family and friends have been so wonderful to pray for and support us! Jeremy is doing pretty good now, he still has hard days like if it is raining. He has to divert aircraft out of the weather.

As for me I have been working at the school down the road for 6 months now and have been hoping to get a job at the center where my friend works. It is a christian school and is a great environment, were as where I am now Alexander has some pretty bad kiddos in his class. I am sure you all remember the bite marks a couple of months ago. We have prayed about it and know this is what God would have me do, so I am excited about the new chapter. I put in my 2 week notice yesterday and my last day will be the 19th. I will be sure to keep you all updated on what is going on.

Also for those of you who don't know my mom went to the hospital a couple of nights ago with chest pains. They admitted her and ran some tests only to find some blockage in the arteries in her heart. The are going to do a heart catheterization in the morning around 8:00 am EST and put stents in where it is needed. Please keep her in your prayers. The doctors also said that if more than 3 stents are needed they may come and do a by-pass. I know God has His hand on her and is granting peace to her and our family.

I was looking though some old pictures and came across this one. Alexander was about 2 weeks old, how sweet!
