Our family just keeps growing...

We welcomed Caleb Causey to the family on January 21. He is 6 lbs and 19 inches, he was born 4 1/4 weeks early. His mom and dad, Michael and Melody are so ready to bring him home from the hospital but they will have to wait until tomorrow. He is doing really good, Melody has been able to nurse him in the NICU at The Florida Hospital. We got to meet him on Saturday, he is so little. We were going to let Alexander meet him but they would only let Caleb's siblings in the NICU. I cannot wait until he is home and I can hold and play with him more.
We are hoping it will not be too much longer and we will be welcoming another niece or nephew......I know Kristy and Zach are ready for the baby to be here.

Our family is going to grow again on November 22, John my younger brother asked his girlfriend of 3 years to marry him. I am so excited and cannot wait for us to be a part of their special day. Especially Alexander being the ring bearer, how cut is that going to be?

After a very busy weekend, Alexander fell asleep on the way home. Which he has not done in a LONG time. In fact this trip was the first trip I sat up front and let Alexander and the dogs sit in the back alone.

Just the 3 of us.

On Jeremy's birthday we went to Maggiano's....mmmmmm! We had some really yummy food. Then we went to Barnes and Noble and had some Starbucks to finish the night off. I think we celebrated Jeremy's 29th birthday wonderfully! Alexander and I are so blessed to have him in our lives! We really do love him!

Happy Birthday Jeremy

We celebrated Jeremy's birthday in Gainesville at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants.
Jeremy had to wear a great birthday hat....although Alexander did not think it was so great.
Alexander and Evie had a blast at the party.....look how messy they got the floor! We went back to Kristy and Zach's after dinner and Alexander pushed Evie and Maggie in her wagon.

These are a few of my favorite things.

Alexander loves "Super Why", it is his favorite show!

Alexander has hated brushing his teeth from the time I started doing it but he loves my tooth brush because it is electric. So we got Alexander an electric one, and now he loves to brush his teeth. The fire truck even has working lights!
Big mouth, he has discovered that he can hold stuff in his mouth. I was feeding him a banana trying to give him small bites but he grab it from my hand to show me he could take BIG bites.

12 Month Check Up

Alexander is now 24 lbs and 8oz and 32 inches long, and is doing great! I love the new squat position he has learned how cute is that! We even had time to read a couple of books while we were waiting for the nurses to come in and give him shots. This is the stillest he has ever been for us to read to him!

After the doctors appointment we went to pick up my bike. We had Alexander's new bike seat installed that he got from Mia and Papi for his birthday. He does not really like the helmet but once I got going he forgot all about it.
Then home for some much needed play time on the back porch. Alexander loves his tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa. He loves to push it and tonight he discovered he can chase the dogs with it. He would just laugh when they would run from him. Libby even helped him up when he fell. I think the dogs are really starting to get used to him being mobile.

It was great to tell the Doctor all the things Alexander is doing:
He is waving Hello and Goodbye
Says: Ma ma, Da da, Dixie, Libby Maggie, Hey, Uh oh, and Hi
Pointing at stuff he wants
Gives you what he has when you say "Thank you"

1Year Photo Shoot

Alexander had a great 1 year photo shoot. All of his pictures turned out really good, even if he hated wearing a hat!
I love these of him in his "Tonka Truck" that Aunt Buff got him for his birthday. The funny thing is that he really gets in it like you see in the pictures.
I loved all the ones of us with him!
Alexander has changed so much. He has started really walking. As you know he took his first step back on Halloween and has continued to take 5-6 steps at a time. He can crawl so fast that he really did not care about walking. Well today he was taking to many steps to count.

He got a car from Pop and Granny for his birthday and I put it together 2 nights ago. He loves it, he climbs in through all the windows and through the door. He loves to check and make sure it has gas. He can make it go backwards, but he does not have the going forward yet.

He got a Tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa that he also loves. When he gets on it and I push him he tries to put his feet on the petals. It is amazing to me to see him do it, how does he know that is how it works?

He is really loving facing forward in his car seat. Mia and Papi got him a DVD player for the car, it is GREAT! He loves to watch it! He is really good in his seat without it except when it is dark. I am not sure why, I guess he thinks because it is dark he is supposed to go to sleep.

I am always excited to see what the next adventure is going to be.

Birthday In Jacksonville

We had a small birthday party in Jacksonville. Jeremy grilled out some chicken for chicken sandwiches. They were soooo good! Alexander enjoyed playing in his sandbox that Aunt Buff got him for Christmas. He even sampled some of the sand, but I do not think he liked the way it tasted.

Jacob and Alexander played in his Thomas the Train ball pit, it has a hole in it so it was dying on us. Thank God it made it through the party.
Mmmmmm........more cake.

Alexander's First Birthday

Alexander had a wonderful first birthday. We did it at my mom and dad's(thank you) and it was perfect! We had some great pizza(thank you Mia and Papi) and Alexander had his favorite, some mac and cheese. We did everything in construction because he loves trucks so much.
On to some fun in the Moon Walk(thank you Michael and Melody). Jeremy got in it with Alexander and they had so much fun! All the kids really enjoyed playing in it all night.
Alexander dove into his cake. It was great to watch him "go to town" on it. He ate half of it, I really expected him to have a belly ache but he was fine.
Thank you to everyone who came, it was so special to have you there!
