Happy Father's Day

What more could a Father ask for.....Starbucks and the remote. I also got up early to try a new recipe, cheese grit casserole and while I did not serve it to Jeremy in bed it was really good.

Alexander got Jeremy a special Military golf club that he had been eye balling. I thought I had pulled a fast one and surprised him but he saw the package at the door. It was sweet of him to think of me and pretended like he did not see and let me grab it off the door step.

Our family Father's day picture.

I wanted to also make a small tribute to my Fathers. I am thankful for both of them.

My dad is one of the most amazing people I know, not only for having put up with me through my teenage years but to have been a great example to me. He has taught me a great work ethic and how to treat ALL people with great respect.

As for my dad-in-love, I am thankful to him for being a Godly example for Jeremy of what a husband should be. He has treated me as his own daughter from the beginning. This maybe funny to some but one of the great things about Herb is his ability to see and help were needed. He always see when my hands are full and never hesitates to lend a hand.

I thank God for the wonderful men He has hand picked for me.

Alexander's First Swim Lesson

We are singing "The Wheels on the Bus" and you can hear Alexander louder than all the other children. Especially when he says "town".

He did really well in class tonight. He was the only one in the class ready for the floatie belt. All he wanted to do was kick and swim on his own. He has class Tue, Wed and Thurs night at 7pm this week and then the same days next week. I am sure there will be more pics to come.

Jeremy came in to find Alexander sleeping like this, isn't is too cute?

Jeremy took Alexander to the airport on his day off. They had such a great time watching the planes take off and land.

We went to a Bar B Que at some friends house this weekend. It was such a blast. I loved that Alexander sat at the kids table. He did pretty good eating there.

On Friday at children's singer came to the school. Her name is Funky mama and she was awesome! Alexander loved her, he imitated all of her motions and tried to sing along. He really got down to her music, so much so I had to get her CD. We have been listen to it and jamming all weekend.

A Day Out With Thomas

Today was the most amazing day! We went to see Thomas the train. Here we are riding Thomas, we took a 25 min ride. Alexander loved every min of it!
Our train ride was at 9:45 and we got there about an hour early and it was perfect timing. There was hardly anyone there so we were able to spend loads of time with Thomas taking pictures.Check out that smile!

It was great that we were able to go with some friends of ours. Lyndsey (my boss), her hubby Scott, son Aidan (from Alexander's Class) and another friend from the school, Juli. It was great for Alexander to have a friend to share this with.

They had a HUGE tent set up with about 15 different train sets for you to play with, I am pretty sure this was Alexander favorite thing.
Alexander got to meet Sit Topham Hat, he is the conductor was the Sodor railway.

After all that fun stuff it was time for a snack and cotton candy was the perfect one! I love the pictures of him licking it. They also had a tent set up for him to get a tattoo, in these pictures you can see it on his arm.

To top this amazing day off we parked in the free parking lot a couple of miles away. So we had to take a school bus to and from Thomas, He loved riding the bus. He kept singing "wheels on the bus". What a great day, I am so glad we did not miss taking Alexander on this BIG adventure.

Bronchitis, Allegic Reaction and Pink Eye....oh my

A couple of weeks ago I came down with a sore throat and woke up the next morning with an awful cough and fever. So I went to the Doctor and she said it was Bronchitis and gave me a new antibiotic. It was a really strong one, I only had to take one a day for 5 days. When day 6 rolled around this is what I looked like.

I woke up itchy with red bumpy spots ALL over my WHOLE body. Not long after this picture was taken it actually got MUCH worse, to the point my eyes were almost shut.

So I went back to the doctor for some steroids and benadryl and finally yesterday it was all gone.

On Wednesday Alexander woke up with a yucky eye and Jeremy took him in to the doctor and he has pink eye. It was been a fun couple of weeks! But it looks like everyone is on the mends!

Aunt Buff's Visit

We were so excited to have Elizabeth come stay with us. On Friday night we went to the T-Bones games. The pic with Sizzle is for you Uncle Zach.

On Saturday we spent the day in Downtown Kansas City. We visited the Crown Center which is Hallmark. They had a Lego exhibit, a Crayola crayon store and so much more.

We even managed to fit in a girls night out for Chinese and chocolate fondue! Then on Sunday we made it for Mexican!

It was a wonderful weekend and we look forward to hosting Buff again!

This is Alexander and I seeing Buff off on the plane....I think we were hard to say bye to!
