Alexander Drives Like His Dad!

We found this car at at Garage Sale and clould not help but buy it. He has just really learned how to work it but has not really got the stearing part yet!

Last Sea World Trip

Alexander and me made our last trip to Sea World on the passes that Mia and Papi gave us for Christmas before he was born. I was able to use my Military ID and get my mom and dad in. They had not been in at least 10 years. We ate lunch at Sharks, it was awesome! We sat right next to all the sharks!

Alexander fell asleep and slept for about an hour and half. Through all of the Shamu show, I was surprised the show was loud.

Our Church celebrated their 9th anniversary as a church and we had some special events this last weekend. Friday night we had a special service and we all wore our Life Happens Here shirts. Alexander did not go to that or the Banquet on Saturday Night he stayed with Mia and Nana. I am sure he had WAY more fun there!

Package, Sick and Pee Pee...Oh My

Alexander got his first package from "dad" a couple of days ago. He loved the monster truck he sent as for the rest, well.

I have been dealing a with a sick boy...Alexander has not been feeling well so on Monday I took him to the doctor. He had Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye) in both eyes, an ear infection and tonsillitis. Poor baby, he was put on Antibiotics for the first time in his life and is feeling MUCH better. We have to put ointment in his eyes 4 times a day and he hates it as you would think. Below is a picture right after I put it in, I feel so bad for him. We had to miss this whole week of school but we are ready to start again Monday bright eyed and bushy tailed!

We went to see Dr. LaRue on Monday and all he could talk about was how long Alexander is. He was totally amazed by him. He is now 36 inches and 28 lb 12oz, that makes him off the chart. He is over the 100 percentile for length. They say that when they are 2 if you double their height that is how tall they are going to be. Right now doubled is 6 ft and we still have 5 more months to grow.

Every night before bath I set Alexander down on his potty, he has always just waited until he got in the bath to go......Until tonight! He peed in the potty! How cool is that? Maybe I can get him potty trained before we move to Kansas in December!

School Update

I wanted to say thank you to all of you out there that said a prayer for me and Alexander on Monday. We had a wonderful day! I have been blessed with a great group of 1 year old. We got them all to set in chairs and eat at the table for lunch and 2 snacks. It is amazing to see how smart they are, I am excited to get to impart in all of their lives. Alexander was pretty good for Monday and Tuesday, I do not think he likes all the attention that I am showing to the other children. I know he will get used to it and realize that I still love him the MOST!
I loved this picture. He is already for school with his book bag in one hand and his blankie in the other. He loves his book bag that Aunt Kristy and Uncle Zach got him for his birthday. He want to carry it or his lunch box all the time. The funny thing about this picture is that we were not going to school, we were on out way to walmart and he saw his book bag and grabbed it.

18 months pictures

Here are Alexander's 18 month pictures, he is such a beautiful child! Thanks to Mia for coming along and helping. He is a handful at a photo shoot and she was such a help. Also Thanks to Aunt Buff for his oh so cute gator outfit, which he wore to church today. I taught him today to point to himself when I ask "Who's a gator?" The things we do when daddy is away!

I also wanted to ask if everyone could say a special prayer for me and Alexander. I start teaching tomorrow, and Alexander is not dealing well to the changes. He is not used to sharing his mom, I know there will be an adjustment period but I really hope it is quick. Right now he is coping by hitting or being aggressive to other children or "bulling" as Ms. Terri in the nursery told me this morning. I feel like it is the right thing for me to go back to work and for Alexander and enjoy other children. I just hope I did not make the wrong choice by having him in the class with me. I guess I thought what would be the big difference if I still get to spend the WHOLE day with him. I will still have off every Friday and I will get to spend some one on one time with him, which I know we will both enjoy. So please keep us in your prayers, this is something I am a little, ok, alot stressed about.
