Rolling Over

I cannot believe Alexander is rolling over, he is only 7 weeks old. Me and Alexander were playing on his play mat in his room. I decided to let him have some belly time. I guess he decided that he liked being on his back because he rolled right over. I was in total amazement! So I turned him back over to see if he would do it again, and he DID! When his daddy got home he got it on video. It is so fun to watch him grow and see the miles stone in his life. He now has a favorite toy and a favorite book. His favorite toy is one that came on some flowers that Nana and Papa Tom sent me in the hospital. It is a baby doll in a diaper, it makes a jungle noise that he loves. When we put it on his belly and shake he loves it. His favorite book is one with Florescence fish in it, as I turn the pages he smiles. He has also started to grip things. The other day I was playing with him and I turned away. When I turned back around he had a toy in his hands. What a big boy!
Alexander also had his first taste of icing. We went to a party this weekend and I let him try some, there is not doubt he was loving it!

Sleepy Time

Alexander is the funniest sleeper ever. He sleeps in the craziest positions. For his first 4 weeks he slept in the pack n play in the room with Jeremy and I, but for the past 2 weeks he has slept in his big boy crib! He has done very well, and so have I. It was hard the first couple of day, but after that I was alright. Here are some sleep poses of Alexander that I love!
Here he is at 2 days old, he would sleep through anything.

All Sprawled out at 1 week.
He is a week old here, no matter how tight we swaddle him he always gets one hand out.

Yes, he is shooting a bird in this one at 2 weeks old. Jeremy took this one not knowing what he was doing and we noticed it later.

This is one of my personal favorites of him at 2 weeks.

Here he is at 4 weeks, he had just finished eating. This pose is also known as the milk coma by his Aunt Kristy.

I love this one at 5 weeks, he is laying so perfect.

This is Alexander's superhero pose. We found him sleeping with his arm straight in the air. He is 6 weeks old here.

He is also 6 weeks old here. I took this picture at 5 am, he had been fussing. So I went in to get him to feed and he had fallen back asleep. This is how I found him.

6 weeks old now!

I cannot believe our little guy is already 6 weeks old. It seems like only yesterday we were coming home from the hospital. Alexander has really started to develop a little personality. He had started to hold his head up for long periods of time and really enjoys his Bumbo sit.

He will sit in it for 5-10 mins at a time he loves to sit up like a big boy. I am continuing to enjoy being at home with Alexander all day. We have so much fun during the day, his new discovery is the TV. He has a couple of DVDs his favorite is his "Baby Faith" one. It is like Baby Einstein for Christians. He also LOVES Barney, I do not know what it is about a purple dinosaur that kids like but he loves it.

He love to watch it in his "floor nanny" it is the coolest pillow ever!

Here is Alexander's little personality coming out, he love to smile, sing and talk.

Here is my attempt at a photo shoot with him. He was fine until I put the hat on his head, he stayed calm long enough to take this picture.

Growing

Oh man is Alexander growing. We went into the doctor's office for a one month check up and he is 11lb 2oz and is 22 1/2 inches tall. His weight is just above average but his height is quite a bit above average. I think we may have a tall boy on our hands.
This is the outfit Jeremy wore home from the hospital, as you can see it is a little short on Alexander. He still looks so cute in it.

I love this picture Alexander is just looking at Jeremy!
Alexander's shirt says "Daddy's Little Sidekick".

Dedication

We had a wonderful celebration this weekend. Our little man was dedicated to God. It was such a wonderful experience. We also got to share this day with Alexander's Cousin Evie, they were dedicated together. I think this is so special that they got to be given back to God on the same day. I thank all the family that made it out for this special day, your love and support are what makes us a family.

We had a great PARTY afterwards, although I am not really sure Alexander knew what was going on. I will have to tell him all about the hard work his grandma put into planning a special party for him.

We also celebrated Alexander's great great grandmother's 98th birthday. While at the party we took the above photo, it contains 5 generations. I think that is pretty cool that we have 5 generation alive in my family.
Alexander also got to meet his cousins Michaela and Caedence. I think Caedence loves him!

This is the toy that Jeremy found at the discovery store. I had to take a picture.

After our long week at grandma and grandpa's we were so sleepy!
