School Carnival

Alexander had his first carnival at school. He had a blast on the jump house.

He had a yummy "hulk" snow cone.

He got his face painted like spider man.

Alexander's new thing is to wear his hair "Spiky" he loves it like this. He will rub his head and say "my spikies"!

Grandma and Granny Visit

Grandma and Granny came up for a visit. It was so nice to see them.

We went to the Kite Festival in Lee Summit. It was amazing there were kites as big as 200 ft, incredible. Alexander loved them, I wish I had one for him to fly he would have loved it. I will have to get him one.

We also went to the City Market downtown KCK and to one of our favorite breakfast spots, succotash. As you can see Granny and Grandma were at Alexander beck and call.
All the spring flowers were in bloom and beautiful. The tulips looked fake they were so beautiful!

This was on our way to the airport, we stopped at Granite City. Which was so good and then did a little shopping. Alexander enjoyed having them here, he got to stay home with the on Monday and Tuesday. They took him to his favorite place Chick Fil A and did all kinds of other fun stuff.

Our neighbors are moving and did not want to move this place structure so they gave us a great deal on it. Alexander loves it! Plus I was able to sell his old one on Craigslist for almost as much as we paid for this one.

School Update

We officially survived our first week of school. Alexander did really well, he has not cried one day when I leave him. His teachers said the only time he gets a little sad is at nap time. It is so great to know that he is doing great.

I am enjoying working, I love the teachers in the room I am in and the kids are great too. It is really nice to have an hour lunch break everyday. Do you have any idea what I can do by myself in an hours?!? I have ran errands, cleaned house and even just relaxed. It is wonderful. I thank you all for your prayers during this time of transition for our family.

My mother and Granny are coming up tomorrow and I cannot wait. I will post pictures from their visit soon.

Also I have a couple of medical tests on Monday and Tuesday, nothing serious but please be in prayer for me.

Happy Easter

Alexander was VERY excited when he saw all that the Easter Bunny left him.

This morning I made Resurrection rolls. The top pic is the before and then after you bake them they are an empty tomb. Alexander is pointing out that it is empty.

We went to our new church this morning and Alexander got to hunt eggs again. It was about 45 degrees this morning so Alexander had to wear a coat to hunt them.

Tonight we had our neighbors over for dinner and let the kids hunt eggs one more time. By this time Alexander was a pro! It was raining and cold outside so we just hid them inside.

We had a wonderful Easter but really missed all our family.
We are VERY excited that Grandma and Granny are coming up this Friday.

I do start working full time tomorrow. I will be the Assistant Teacher in the 1 year old room from 9am to 3:30, then I will go into Alexander's room until 6pm. So I still get to spend time with him in the afternoon. I think this will be so great for Alexander, I know he is ready. In just the short 2 weeks he has been coming with me I have notice such a change in him. His words and behavior has changed so much. I will be sure to keep you all updated on how this week goes.

Saturday Easter Fun

Mia and Papi sent Alexander some Easter goodies that he loved.

Then we went to hunt eggs at a festival down the road. We went with our neighbors and had so much fun. Alexander did really well hunting eggs except that he wanted to open each one as he picked it up.

Then when we got home there was another package from Grandma and Grandpa.

April Fun

April showers, bring May flowers

We are learning that first hand, Alexander got to wear his rain coat that Mia and Papi got him for Christmas.

Alexander blowing up his balloon....not really but he knows that is what you are supposed to do it.

We went to try a little Mexican food the other night and Alexander loved the frogs....."ribbit ribbit" he says.

There is this awesome donut place here called kc donuts, they are some of the best I have ever had. One of Alexander favorite things is m & m's or m's as we call them. So when we got to the donut shop and there was one with m's we had to get it and man did he love it....

Home

Finally after a long search we have found a home church. We have visited more churches than I even care to mention and this morning we went the The Church of the Harvest. www.chruchoftheharvest.org It was a wonderful service and Jeremy and I knew we were home when we got there.

For those of you who don't know, I am going to work full time at the school I work at now. We are not sure what my hours will be yet, either 9-6 or what we are really hoping for is 7-3:30. I should be starting sometime this week, I will keep you all posted.
